Alfa Romeo the Journey

Fun fact: The term Anonima means anonymous, the Alfa Company was indeed founded by anonymous investors, which was all legal at that time. Alfa Romeo is a sports oriented car and has been on the car racing circuits since 1911, but the name Romeo was still not there.

In the year 1915 on August the company was handled by Nicola Romeo who was a Neapolitan entrepreneur. It was in the year 1920 with the launch of Torpedo 20–30 HP, the official name Alfa Romeo was introduced to the world.

Gradually the Alfa Romeo became the part of Fiat group. In Feb 2007 Alfa Romeo cam to be known as Alfa Romeo Automobiles S.P.A, a subsidiary of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA).

In the most recent of developments the Alfa Romeo is being owned by Stellantis, which is a par part of PSA group and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA). Although a car ahead of its times, but due to its pricing and many designing faults it was not a commercial success.

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) is a major Italian automotive company. Founded in 1909, it sells Chrysler, Dodge, Ram, Alfa Romeo, Maserati, Jeep, and Lancia. The group has approximately 400,000 employees and annual sales of eight million vehicles. Fiat Chrysler Automobiles will continue to operate the Alpha Romeo brand under the new management. The company also owns Alfa Romeo, Lancia, and Peugeot.


The Fiat Alfa Romeo is a midsize Italian car produced by the Italian manufacturer Fiat. The car is not yet available for sale in the United States. However, the Fiat company has teamed up with BMW to produce the car in the United States. The partnership is expected to begin by the end of 2008.


Alfa-Romeo and Maserati are both part of the FCA. FCA and PSA Group, the automaker from France, are merging to form Stellantis, the fourth-largest automaker by volume. Fiat Chrysler and Peugeot S.A. will continue to operate separately and together in the future, as the new company will have the same name. The Fiat Chrysler name will remain, though.
